This weekend, Dana White unveiled the fights for what is expected to be the most anticipated card of the year. The event, set to take place at the White House on June 14, is called UFC Freedom Fights 250. It will feature two title fights, several superstars, and the promise of striking-heavy matchups meant to deliver spectacular battles. However, many fans are already expressing disappointment.

Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje

While Donald Trump and Dana White initially promised more than five title fights and several big names, the final lineup feels underwhelming. Many of the matchups do not appear particularly competitive. With the start of the year already frustrating many fans, and several talented fighters seemingly left on the sidelines, this announcement has only added to the growing criticism.

For example, former champion Ronda Rousey openly said she found the card “terrible.” On top of that, American fighters do not seem to be favorites in most of the announced fights.

Despite the criticism, the event could still break viewership records. The exceptional nature of hosting a fight card at the White House, combined with matchups such as Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira vs. Cyril Gane, is likely to attract massive attention.
